This late 16^th or early 17^th century building on a low crag looking to seaward about 400 yards inland was built either by the Gordons or the Ogilvies, successive owners of the property. Of a thinly walled main block 24 feet wide there remain just 16 feet of the south wall and 47 feet of the north wall. There is a vaulted cellar at the west end, and a ruined cottage occupies most of the rest of the interior.
